The Space Week Nordeste 2023 is an event aimed at all those interested in technologies and advances in the space science area. The event intends to promote the exchange of knowledge between regional, national, and international institutions, contributing to the aerospace industry's outreach and development, in addition to human resources training.

The Space Week Nordeste 2023 will be an event that will gather students, researchers, industry members, and curious people about aerospace science and technology in only one place – the city of Fortaleza, Ceará. During Space Week Nordeste 2023, scientists will present the results of their developing projects and exhibit what is most modern within the space science area.
Some of the topics that will be covered during Space Week Nordeste 2023:
- Earth observation for the sustainable development goals;
- Space-based weather and climate extreme events monitoring;
- New Space: Disruptive Space technologies and innovations;
- Deep Space Missions;
- Air and Aerospace Economics;
- Remote water monitoring - Space hydrology - The SWOT (Surface Water and Ocean Topography) mission
In addition to the scientific program of the event, there will also be activities aimed at the non-scientific community, in which children, youth, adults, and families will be able to learn more about the space and its particularities. Activities open to the general public will include a rocket launch, satellite model exhibitions, a space photo gallery, and many more!

Event Registration (in person)
Registrations should take place at the event secretariat, 14:00 - 17:00.
Event Registration opening
All registrations will be made via the website until August 10, 2023, so that there is enough time to prepare the participants' badges.
Abstract submission opening
Abstracts will be submitted directly on the event website and immediately sent to the Scientific Committee for analysis. A specific tab will be created on the Space Week Nordeste 2023 website to upload abstracts.
Mini course registration
(Click here for more information)All Mini course registrations will be made via the website until August 10, 2023, so that there is enough time to prepare the minicourses participants' badges. After this date, if there are remaining vacancies, the deadline for new registrations will be extended.
End of abstract submission
This deadline was established so that participants can, if necessary, request financial assistance from funding agencies to participate in Space Week Nordeste 2023.

Federal University of Ceará Fortaleza - Ceará - Brazil
The scientific program of Space Week Nordeste 2023 will be held at the Seara Science of the Federal University of Ceará (UFC). The venue opened in December 1999 and has an theater with capacity for 200 people, classrooms and laboratories for workshops and mini courses, a telescope museum and an astronomical observatory. The event will also feature a day of activities opened to the general public, which will be held at Iguatemi Bosque Shopping, in Fortaleza, Ceará.

Who can participate?
The entire spatial scientific community (undergraduate, graduate students, researchers) and members of the aerospace industry are welcome to participate and show their projects during the scientific program of Space Week Nordeste 2023. Activities opened to the general public will occur during the last two days of the event, aiming to show kids, parents, and educators the importance of science, technology, and space studies to Brazil’s development.

Which activities are programmed for Space Week
Nordeste 2023?
Lectures with specialists affiliated with renowned space institutions, oral, and poster presentations, and training mini courses. During the event, there will also be rocket launch demonstrations and a day of activities at the Iguatemi Bosque Fortaleza Shopping, with exhibitions of space-related photos, rocket components, presentation of Earth-observing satellite models, drones racing, and many other attractions.
